A Walk is a Must!
Sunny ways have gone astray
As fall weather trumps today
Rain all morn, 11 degrees C.
But walk I must, as on any day,
To push my symptoms away.
This has been the best for me.
Just dress for the weather
Keep the dog on the tether.
Wear the hat from Tilley,
Get out the rainsuit, Billy.
Waterproof boots the best,
Even if no match for the rest.
Out on the trail, almost alone.
The tree canopy seems to close
overhead, keeping the heavy rain
From soaking me to the bone.
Sweat meets rain in my clothes
As I walk quietly through the pain.
Back home at last, it wasn’t a blast,
but it did push my symptoms back.
Therefore, no regrets for the trek,
A good morning for the time it will last
As I tackle the list, no jobs do I lack
First on the computer, emails to check!
